Yes. Up until a year ago, Adam was a semi regular news filler on World. He moved back to be more permanent on the News Channel.

Just after the launch of Impact and The Hub, when they were both double headed, Adam would often appear as the co presenter on this programmes.

Haven't seen him present the News on World for quite some time, apart from a singular appearance on Newsday some time back.

Interesting that John Humphrys has only signed a 9 month extension contract with the Today Programme, and he is 70 in August. People have been saying this for years, but I do expect he will go before long. I predict a Radio 4 reshuffle, probably in all four news strands (with Eddie Mair moving to Newsnight) before the year is out.

Isn't there a chance that Emily could take over on NN? To be honest, we're still unsure if she has a regular slot on NC, so maybe this could be because she is moving to Newsnight more regularly?

Although John is a much loved presenter, I think it might be time for him to go and bring in a new presenter. It said on the article that George Entwistle wanted to have another female presenter on Today but I'm not sure if Tony Hall is also going along with that.

Eddie Mair has said before that he doesn't like television and prefers radio so I don't think that he'll move to Newsnight. He would make great Today presenter. Another person I think could be a possible candidate could be Nick Robinson. He has been the political editor since 2005 and moving to Today would be a good thing for him.

John Humphreys replacement will be Ritula Shah from the world tonight. Radio 4 listeners rate her very highly, myself included, and she ticks all the pc boxes they will want. Nick Robinson is likely to be the next man on the programme, although that might be a while off yet.

That's making the assumption she'd want to shift to early mornings. Another person I'd like to think will have a regular Radio 4 programme (or Newsnight-style TV role) is Bridget Kendall. Arguably one of their best correspondents, who also makes a fine presenter.

Huw Edwards started early on NC and BBC One (note there was a breaking news broadcast on the national BBC One) due to the death of Lady Thatcher. Wonder if he'll do the Six?

I believe it's Sian live from Downing Street.

George is doing the Six, with various correspondents reporting. I believe the News at One was with Sian, which was also broadcast on BBC World News I believe.

Thanks. Judging by Twitter Chris was back after Maxine finished at 12.05?

Chris is getting a lot of good slots now, that Sunday morning slot is interestingly often one of the most watched of the week.

Seems to be more of him and less of Tim Willcox.

Oh really? Sorry, I must of missed that! That's a bit of a 'snub' for Chris though? He would've been perfectly capable of anchoring the national bulletin, but then I suppose Maxine is the face of the weekends.

Tim Willcox presented the day before, I think, so he's still lurking about! Nick only seems to do every other week? He presented the weekend news though the day before.

Oh god, Naga Munchetty is RUNNING from the Presenter chair to Backstage when World Business Report has just finished its headlines... Unaware that she is now on air!

Yeah I saw that as well, a few presenters have been caught out on that shot I remember once Zeinab was stood up still finishing off her cocoa. Laughing
