How long as Reeta Chakrabarti been presenting the Six for? I don't catch it too often but having caught it once this week and once last week she's presented both - and IMO is far better than Sophie Raworth or Fiona Bruce.

She has presented on 24th June, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 29th July

I have to say I find this level of detail really disturbing.

It's one thing knowing that someone might have presented a programme or not, but keeping detailed records really is bizarre to say the least.

Well this a surprise-Near the end of The Six, Sian Williams has just appeared on location at Eastbourne beach where the Pier fire has been happening.

The way Sophie introduced Sian (just the stresses on words etc) makes me think Sian was nearby, either studying, living or visiting someone, and called in and went there to meet a camera operator. Just a guess though...

I think you think too much about these things.

Who presented tonight's 6.30-9pm shift?

It was Andi Peters, but with 2 heads and wearing an owl jumper.

Yes I agree- why does it matter who did what shift? Unless you work for bbc payroll and need proof of what to pay.....this is getting very stalkerish this whole "who worked 630-900?" "Who did last nights ten o clock news" if you are so obsessive and NEED to know to complete your silly little spreadsheets in order
To be able to carry on with day to day life a) watch those bbc bulletins yourself Instead of asking 4-5 times every week and b) go and seek professional help.
This forum is great for discussing things like perhaps Paxmans last bulletin or Reeta Chakribati presenting for first time or what happens on a strike day - BUT why keep obsessing when a regular or usual full in presenter presents - SOMEONE has to present the news!! Sorry rant over......

A reminder (I really didn't think I'd still need to give) that discussion of personal reasons as to why a presenter might have been in a certain place is not acceptable here. And instead of quoting the post, would other members please just use the RTP.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - the people who DO these presenting shifts (and the bosses who organise them) think less about this stuff than some of the people who post or seek granular detail on here - and it's a shame, because it diminishes the credibility of what is otherwise a wonderful site.

More news on the correspondent front, albeit for radio.

That's interesting. Today are getting rid of their correspondents to replaced with some new multimedia reporters. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Well that explains who Damian Grammaticus will be replacing in Brussels.

The jigsaw is beginning to come together!

Could I suggest though that the discussion of correspondents moving about be kept in the thread set up for it here:

http://www.tvforum.co.uk/thenewsroom/bbc-world-news-major-presenter-changes-40053/

It might reduce duplication.

Tim Wilcox having an intense, almost Hardtalk style dialogue with an Israeli spokesman on Impact. At one point I think heard "Allow me to finish my answer, mister."
WO

Chris Eakin presenting tonight's News at 5. Has he presented the slot before?
