Maybe Ben is doing the Ten tonight??? If he didn't do his usual shift and did the five, it could be because he's doing the late bulletin. Or Reeta could be presenting it. What was she like on the NC?

Nope-Julian Worricker has just said that it's Huw doing the Ten as normal.

Sophie Long will present The Papers from Glasgow this evening.

And with Julian doing the News at Nine from London, we have a two-way split for the late shift tonight.

The studio for The papers in Glasgow is very small and compact with a beautiful image of the River Clyde from behind.

The BBC did a good job of fitting all that paper on that really small desk. Although that TV screen behind Sophie looks very bright from that wall.

A Busy 11am toth-Annita McVeigh in Eindhoven, Jane Hill in Glasgow for the Commonwealth Games and Joanna in the studio.

Christian Fraser's last day as Paris Correspondent before Lucy Williamson takes over in August.

The sport headline during the 11:45 edition of the News at 10 was prerecorded, with the presenter appearing in the exact same place as Sophie Raworth (the BBC News studio in Glasgow), but in daylight.

Christian will be heading to Studios B, C and E very soon to do some stints as a newscaster on BBC News and BBC World.

Ah - he was a regular stand-in for Eddie Mair and/or Paddy O'Connell on BBC Three News - and was very good back then.

He has presented on the News Channel a few times in the last year. He was quite good I seem to recall but struggled with time checks.
