Interesting, Matthew has been with the news channel such a long time it's hard to imagine him not being part of the central team. Ipersonally hope Rajesh Mirchandani replaces him, but possibly we are going to see very dramatic schedule changes to make way for Victoria's programme. Any news on what time it will broadcast?

Press release here. No information on what time it will be on. It sounds like quite a different programme on BBC News from what we're used to.

It sounds very similar to the new Boulton programme launching on Sky in September. It's running from 7 to 9pm, be interesting to see where Derbyshire's show is slotted.

With Matthew leaving and Jane doing more national work I think it might be in the Afternoon. Against Queen Kay on Sky! Shame they haven't managed to dump Ben Brown on to World yet. We live in hope.

I can see that happening if the new progamme does take up the 6:30-9:00 slot (with Julian Worricker doing Fridays).

They announced that quickly it took them ages to find a new presenter for Impact. I also can see Gavin Esler moving to fill the afternoon slot.

So now the emphasis turns to what Happens to the 11-2 slot since that's where Victoria's new programme is likely to go there.
