Clive Myrie presenting News at One. Is this his first time?

Yep, and well deserved I think, I know not everyone likes him, but I think he has both authority and good delivery and he has really come into his own since taking on the Papers, I wouldn't be averse into seeing him join Jane on the cover team for the Six and Ten tbh, as he has a very capable Papers deputy too in Martine.

I'm actually surprised we haven't seen him sooner presenting whilst there has been a bit of a shortage

And for those of you wondering whether Clive was going to work a long day, he's not-it's Julian Worricker covering the late shift tonight.

I wish the news channel would just run the World News short TOTH titles, when they hand over to a DTL presenter at the TOTH.

Those titles which don't feature the newsroom look worse every single time you see them, with the awkward hold at the end, as the music catches up.

I was watching the opening of the Five, surely they could have a stored shot of the trundle cam moving towards, and zooming into, either the weather plasma or the screens above Studio E and have Simon's shot on one of them before fading to him?

Either that or run the titles as normal, newsroom pan, studio pan towards a screen with Simon on it?

Does anyone know what's going on with presenters and stuff this morning? BBC NC just broadcasting D-Day coverage.
Huw Edward is on BBC1. Simon McCoy I've seen on location.
Was it Annita McVeigh's voice I heard in the studio?

Yes it's Huw on BBC1 whilst on the NC here's how things have broken down at the moment-will update through the day

Breakfast-Charlie Stayt (not Jon Kay as was down in the RT) And Sally Nugent
8:30-11:00-Mostly Simon McCoy however Annita McVeigh voice's was heard when the Queen arrived in Bayeux and then Sian Williams (presumely via the BBC1 Feed) commentated on the service which followed
11:00-2:00-Again mostly Simon on location but with Julian Worricker in the studio
BBC1 Lunchtime Bulletin-Simon at Normandy with Matthew Amroliwala in the studio
2:00-6:30-The same feed on both BBC1 and the NC is now being taken
