I think it could be Naga Munchetty, She is known to the BBC World audience and is a regular on the channel. She is also know to viewers in the UK as she presents Breakfast on Sundays.

But has a permanent slot already and is a regular fill-in on Breakfast too...
The presenting line up is really undergoing alot of changes at the moment, with the untimely loss of Komla Dumor, Martine Dennis and Nik Gowing (stalwarts of the channel) leaving, George Alagiah taking time out for medical reasons, Mishal Husain just left too...

That doesnt stop her making the switch to a later shift and she can still fill in on breakfast
Also, Kate Silverton, who stands in for George on GMT occasioanlly is going on maternity leave.
I reckon the Weekend News channel staff should be brought in for cover, have Nicholas Owen in for Nik's time slot, Chris Eakin on GMT, Maxine Mawhinny on WNT perhaps?
Speaking of Kate's Maternity Leave I've read on Twitter that her last bulletin is in about 2 weeks (May 10th) and will be off for the remainder of the year.
Surely Geeta Guru Murthy will just take over the slot rather than wholesale changes? She has been gradually doing more of the morning slots over the last few months, and I'd be fairly confident she will get the morning slot as her own.
Plus, Geeta has been with BBC World for years and years - since at least 2001 if not slightly before. It's about time she got a regular gig as she's spent over a decade covering various different shifts. The only time I can remember her having her own programme was when she was one of the lead presenters of the 14:30 GMT edition of Asia Today in the early 2000s.
Regarding Gavin Esler - yes, he was the chief presenter on News 24 in the late 90s / early 2000s. He used to present weekday evenings with Carrie Gracie for a while. Not sure when he presented before that, although I do know that he was with News 24 from launch in 1997.
