BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

Presenters have a variety of sayings including;

"This is BBC World News with me X"

"Hello, I'm X with BBC World News"

"I feel like I'm being meticulously documented, help"

"These people pay more attention to this stuff than I do, and I'm the one doing it!"

So as the Easter Weekend winds down here's how Easter Monday went on the NC

9:00-11:00-Simon McCoy
11:00-2:00-Joanna Gosling (Includes News at One)
2:00-6:00-Julian Worricker (& Andy Moore)
6:15-9:30-Carole Walker
9:30 onwards-Nicholas Owen

BBC1 (Evening and Late)-Matthew Amroliwala

Rather unusally Carole Walker has continued past 9:00 pm so whoever is doing the papers this Evening won't be coming on until after the News at Ten.

ETA:Nicholas Owen took over at 9:30

Gavin Esler presenting the 18:30 - 21:00 shift this evening on BBC News -> Havent seen him do anything other than the BBC News at Five and Dateline London for a while

Was about to make the same comment. He covered an afternoon shift with Emily Maitlis a few years ago, back in N6.

He doesn't have his Newsnight commitments anymore, so we may see more of him on the news channel. I'd love to see Gavin cover a late shift and present the Papers - I can imagine he'd be excellent at it.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he was/is classed as the most senior presenter on the News channel, I maybe wrong though.
