I see. I guess probably they are short on staff for Newsday then. Not that Adnan doesn't cover Newsday, it's just on odd occasions I observe. I noticed Adnan was covering the weekend with about the same time span too. It is also interesting that Adnan has coincidentally been breaking news on 2 flight incidents as of late, one the Glasgow copter crash and now the Malaysian lost flight. He always seem rather emotional or somber when relaying these news.
The 0200-0500 slot on Monday mornings is Adnan's usually, not Mike's. Mike covers it on Tuesday-Friday mornings.

I've noticed Adnan present Newsday a few times now, and it's always been the Sunday night - Monday morning slot...

Which is what I can't stand about him. A newsreader's job is to read the news, not understand it. His inability to report on the likely deaths of ~300 people with an unaffected, chirpy demeanor is indisputably a sackable event.
I bet he wasn't even wearing a colourful tie, was he? Some people are beyond belief.

I noticed that yesterday morning. He should do a Schofe/Eamonn Holmes on it and go au natural.
Is Simon McCoy's hair a bit less grey this morning?

Joanna Gosling did the 11am-2pm shift alone as she has done for the last couple of weeks. I think the 8:30AM-11:00AM was Simon McCoy & Annita McVeigh but wasn't paying much attention so that might be wrong.
Who presented this morning's 8.30-11am and 11am-2pm shifts?

Soapy is in Mumbai/Bombay for World News and Global, with Lucy Hockings occupying his chair at the moment on the Global set in London.
I think Lucy Hockings has really excelled over the last few months. In many respects, even better than a certain higher-profile predecessor. It's all a matter of taste, mind.

Yes 8:30-11:00 shift was Simon and Annita-Also as a follow on from the previous post, Jon Sopel was also spotted on the 2-5 shift from Mumbai/Bombay with Jane and Matthew in the studio.
ETA:And now we have Tim Willcox doing the News at Five
