Jon does cover the One sometimes before he begins his normal shift on Global.

Other times he has come in on a Friday to present the One when a Global isn't broadcast

Here's a question I hope someome can answer.

Why don't the likes of Fiona Bruce, George Alaghia, Sophie Raworth and Mishal Husain present any of the shifts on the news channel? I remember back in 2006/2007 the likes of Sophie Raworth did cover on News 24 for a time, but it seemed to just stop. Was this a trial or was there a presenter shortage? Surely if one of the above were scheduled to present the Ten, they could also present the Five?

I assume it's all down to contracts. Don't forget George does GMT on World, Mishal does Today on Radio 4 and Fiona Bruce does lots of other presenting projects.

Just saw Rico Hizon and Babita Sharma back to their original locations on Newsday, when did they returned?

Jane Hill presenting BBC News at 6 tonight. Is this the first time? Makes a nice change.

She was a regular relief presenter when the Six had two presenters

You're going a long way back there. Since it has been single headed its very rare to see anyone other than George, Fiona or Huw on the 6 or 10.

She looked a lot like Fiona Bruce tonight Not to mention the 'Famous' Director appearing in shot again!

Jane presents on rare occasions, she presented the News at Six and News at Ten, both 7 times last year.
