Is there not an argument for Breakfast to have it's own dedicated team of correspondents? On Friday, I noticed that they joined Carole Walker in Westminster, when it's easier surely to have a dedicated correspondent in Salford?

So with Martine Dennis off to Al Jazeera and the untimely passing of Komla Dumor is a reshuffle required to fill the 5am to 8am GMT shift?

Oh dear, Martine Dennis moving to Al Jazeera is rather surprising, considering she's an old timer much in the league with Peter Dobbie and such. Is this insider info or has it been mentioned in some news pieces?

it is being discussed on the Movers & Shakers thread, but Adrian Finnigan mentions to me on twitter that...

but for some reason, I get the feeling that possibly this is in preparation for Al Jazeera UK. Rolling Eyes

It's been confirmed to JamesWorldNews from an inside source at the BBC that Martine Dennis has left and will be joining Aljazeera English in Doha, also confirmed by the tweet above.

As far as I'm aware all that tweet says is that she's leaving the BBC and joining Al Jazeera English and mentions when she starts being seen on air. AFAIK there has been no comment made yet wether she'll be broadcasting from London or Doha.

Nothing official has been announced about her location but JamesWorldNews' inside source said that she would be broadcasting from Doha. I maybe proved wrong though and I guess we will find out officially in due course.

Well Naga is the main morning presenter while Martine did Fridays and weekends. Komla only appeared occasionally since he started Focus on Africa.

So they will need someone new for the Friday-Sunday morning shift, maybe everyone's favorite Alice Baxter can jump in.

As for Focus, I guess the female presenter that covered for Komla will take over now.

Martine Dennis *is* moving to Doha. She will be based there and will anchor news bulletins from there. Not London.

Annita McVeigh is presenting now with Matthew Amroliwala seems strange seeing here somewhere other than her normal shift.

Thanks. I was merely stating that nothing public has been mentioned and seeing as they broadcast news from Doha & London then I didn't want to speculate on her location but thank you for the update!
