Simon covering for Charlie today on Breakfast, from one great partner chip to another this morning - Simon and Louise!

I didn't go and distrust them however, just continued walking up Regent Street

Distrust ? You mean distress ? Look, it's totally unacceptable to splash the whereabouts of ANYBODY engaged
in their own personal activity all over the internet for all and sundry to see, what right and mandate do you think you have to do that ? It's even more creepy because you hide your identity.

For Christ's sake stop acting as if he told some big secret in the public. He saw 2 news presenters and then mentioned it here, big deal.

It's intrusion of those two presenters' privacy, it's unacceptable, period.

If he lived opposite a presenter he could give us exact times of them going in and out of their house - it's public information, that can be seen by any member of the public acting completely within the law - but it's certainly not acceptable to post on a site about television presentation.

It's simply not interesting above anything else, we know these people exist outside of their work and must do normal things that normal people do.

Thousands of people must see BBC News presenters on a weekly basis. Imagine how annoying and pointless it would be if they all posted on here that they'd seen them.

Interesting tweet from news channel journalist Simon Waldman when asked about a permenant replacement for Carrie - 'watch this space but don't hold your breath'. Not sure whether that means single headed, rotating hosts or they just haven't decided yet.

Perhaps the female presenter of the 11am-1pm slot will start and finish earlier, limiting the amount of time any one presenter is on their own. If Joanna came off at 1pm, Jane could come on at 1:30pm on a very hectic news day, and Ben could work on his own for half an hour on 'normal work days - there's flexibility without adding to the team of 'existing presenters'.

I don't even see the purpose of this thread to be honest it's a forum to discuss and disagree on tv presentation, who cares if a cloud cuckoo presents at six o clock.

Could a cloud cuckoo land such a job? Wink

It's the equivalent of, say, someone deciding to document every ident broadcast on a given day (if you could imagine something so tedious and pointless) in my mind but hey, whatever, different strokes... I guess.

And it's fairly easy to ignore as long as its confined to this thread, unless something particularly stupid draws my attention on the front page.

I was thinking that Joanna could move to the 830-11 shift, Jane move to the 11-2 shift, with the 2-5pm shift then going single-headed, so afternoons on the channel (apart from 130-2) is only anchored by one person.
