I do prefer the newsreaders being single-headed; it's so much less horrifying that way.
What way is it horrifying anyway?
I think double-headed shifts are good.....but the presenters are usually too close together! Also, they need a desk shaped like the ones in TVC, so the presenters aren't 'squashed' together.
Last year, presenters where single headed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New years Eve and New Year's Day.

In fact, it's rarely Tim these days. Although, he has been frequent on a Friday lately. Ros Atkins has been doing Monday to Wednesday of late, in addition to his radio work. Karin Giannone has been the presenter on most other days. Rajesh Mirchandani has also been frequently in that slot since Lucy Hockings took over on Impact.
Yalda Hakim was supposed to be the Friday presenter. Haven't seen her in the studio for ages though.
During the current holiday season, Kasia Madera has also been in that slot.

Does it annoy any of you when presenters don't say goodbye at the end of a bulletin? Like Carole today, she just said 'now the news where you are', without a goodbye. Others who do this include Nicholas Owen and Simon McCoy.
