Female duo currently on the News channel. Rachel Schofield and Joanna Gosling.

Has Rachel done a double shift today then - I thought I saw her this morning, though I wasn't paying much attention.

I'm pretty sure Jane and Matthew were on 11-2 so perhaps she was ok
early with Simon? Sue Thearle was on yesterday early.

Who presented on Thursday night with Joanna? - Was it Rachel again?

Just noticed a report saying that James Westhead (Education and Social Affairs correspondent) left the BBC in October to join a charity, Teach First. Not sure who his replacement is.

Isn't Sarah Campbell, formerly on Breakfast, the new Education Correspondent?

I thought she had been Education Correspondent for a while now? Though I guess she could have been promoted to be the main education corresponent?

An employee or contractor of BBC News, one would imagine.

Watching the News Channel at the moment and I'm impressed Jon Sopel at Westminster hes handling all the interviews very well and he is also managing to keep them from too much rowing. Loved the part when he told them all to shush and let someone who wanted to talk talk.

Also its nice to see Louise finally back on the news channel and also I just saw Sonali Shah (from Newsround) presenting the business news and she seems really professional and she isn't patronising like Ellie and Laura were when they moved to the news channel. I would like to see more from her!

Was it just Louise on her own this afternoon with Jon at Westminster or was there another presenter in the studio?
