Anyone else noticed that Andy May (E24 & 60 Seconds Presenter) is doing the sports news on BBC Radio 1's Breakfast show this week?

Andy does quite a lot of Newsbeat - he often fills in for David Garrido - just he is on breakfast this week and last while Carrie is on leave

Bit of a random question, but does anyone know whether Dan Walker will continue to present sport on the news channel now he has taken over Football Focus? They seem to have been using anyone and everyone on sport recently (think I even saw Matt Gooderick on Breakfast this weekend) and would be a bit short without him.

Also saw Home Affairs Correspondent Daniel Sandford in Washington recently - I wonder if it's a permenant move.

Daniel Sandford is now based in the US. He's been replaced by Nick Ravenscroft for Home Affairs. (formerly North of England)

And Laura Trevelyan is now presenting World News Today live on BBC World News from London, in the slot usually presented by Nik Gowing.

Not on a Sunday he won't. He's too busy making sure all the retail stores don't trade for more than 6 hours and telling everyone to go to church and locking up playgrounds so children observe the lord's day instead of enjoying themselves.

After a long while, Jeremy Paxman is finally back on Newsnight next Tuesday. It must be at least two months since he last presented!

The BBC supposedly made general cuts in its business unit, having demobilized its presence at the Stock Exchange, etc. But I haven't noticed any rationalization in the presenter line-up. Today on BBC World, we have Sally Eden and now Maryam Moshiri doing the business news. Sally Bundock is reading the main news. Juliette Foster presented the news and business last night and Aaron Heslehurst, Jamie Robertson and Tanya Beckett are all still around. Even supplementary business presentation is provided by Owen Thomas from time to time.

So, have there actually been any cuts made in the business presenter line-up? I can't think of any at all.
