Matt Frei with the BBC ONE 3pm summary, back for his summer stint on the Six?
Just watched it and he said is will be back with the news at six. He probably will present Monday to Thursday this week as he did in summer last year.

I'm sure in the old days, there was enough 'big name' presenters available that even at holiday time, the general public could put a name to a face
Now, unless you are a regular News Channel viewer, you wouldn't know who half the people are presenting BBC News or Breakfast if you missed the start, Breakfast particularly.

One wonders how many other 'businesses' could survive with their key staff all on holiday at the same time...summer is probably the best time to try out new people to see how they manage in key slots, but the BBC does take it to extreme.
Also seems daft sending Turnbull and Minchen on Children in Need duty at the same time!

Turnbull and Minchin are doing the CIN event paired together (it's part of the exercise all of the participants are paired).

Strange watching Nick Robinson presenting newsnight! I think he's doing well though!
EDIT: To be honest I think he's very good for someone who doesn't usually present - I can more than see him moving to a program like Newsnight permanently in the future, perhaps with James Landale replacing him?

The Radio Times website claims its:
Mon - Nick Robinson
Tues - Nick Robinson
Wed - Martha Kearney
Thur - Martha Kearney
Fri - Jon Sopel
Newsnight review: Tim Marlow
Indeed, apart from the interview at the end which was totally pointless, he was actually pretty good.
According to the ITV TV Guide, he is due to present tommorow and Wednesday, with Martha Kearney on Thursday, and Tim Marlow on both Newsnight and Newsnight Review on Friday.

It also says this on my Sky EPG and UK TV Guide. Also I wonder if Matt Frei will be presenting all week.
