Indeed. Interesting to see they are going for alternative BBC presenters, like Sopel and Kearney (both of which have of course hosted NN before), rather than a member of the Newsnight reporting team like Liz MacKean or god forbid Justin Rowlatt. Having the show hosted by Michael Crick would certainly be an interesting event although it's not really his style.

I think Kaisa is very good, hopefully we'll be seeing her a bit more in daytime soon.

She quite often pops up with the 3pm BBC ONE summary.

Roger Johnson is back on a solo shift this afternoon. Does anyone know if he's just here for the Summer or doing a longer spell of relief presenting?

EDIT: Sangita Myska also back relief presenting for the first time in ages alongside Clive tonight.

Or they're all off sick with swine flu.

We truly are using the relief presenters to the max... so far today we've had

06:00 - 09:00 Chris Hollins + Naga Munchetty
09:00 - 13:00 Jon Kay
13:00 - 19:00 Roger Johnson

Also, Roger Johnson, is constantly moving, and he must be a camera-mans worst nightmare!

I think with that peculiar monotone/squeaky delivery he's the viewers' worst nightmare as well

Is it me, or does Sangita Myska sound like she doesn't want to be there? She's very boring in her presentation of the news...

I saw a slight smile just then. Apart from that, she does look grumpy, serious and dramatic when reading the headlines at the TOTH. When reading, she has too much intonation, mid-sentence.

She's just turned up with Matthew Amroliwala on the 11-2 shift

EDIT: You can tell she's used to presenting BBC World News as she keeps on looking to the left of her for the camera
