Didn't the evening shift used to end at midnight on weekends?

Why is Maxine Mawhinney taking advice from Tim Wilcox and doing 12 hours on the weekends... a whole quarter of the weekend! She must live there!

Kasia Madeira anchoring with Clive Myrie this evening.

It appears to be Martine Croxhall that's is presenting .....

Hmm, it does now.

But honestly, it was definitely Kasia Madeira leading into the weather before 8pm! I tuned in just before the weather, and initially I wasn't 100% sure it was her, but when Alex Deakin said 'thanks Kasia', that confirmed it.

Trust me.

I'd of preferred Kasia presenting, I think shes a huge talent - she should be on more often.

... and the subsequent precise annunciation too.

I agree she seems to have taken half of the previous 6 hour shift which peter sissons had and then she's taken nicholas Owen's previous and they swapped sophie long to Saturdays and put nicholas on sophies old Sunday shift. They did also extend the final by one hour during the week but I'm not sure about weekends.

Yeah it was definetely Kaisa Madeira at first - I assume Martine Croxall will be back after the Ten as she has been all week, perhaps why she started the shift late.

I think Kaisa is very good, hopefully we'll be seeing her a bit more in daytime soon.

Sounds like someone else was unavailable at the last minute.

After being away for a week, it's very strange reading about the weird presenter shifts and combinations, both on the News Channel, Newsnight and on Breakfast. Looks as though loads of the presenters are on their holidays now!
