What they're doing is also known as 'white networking' - they're essentially running the channel as if it were live (though not quite for the full day). The key difference is that the running order has been juggled around a little, so that they're not trying to go live to the same correspondents at the same time as the News Channel. Oh, and it's not being broadcast anywhere.

Just to clarify, when they "pilot," do they do a bulletin at the same time as their TVC counterparts (except of course without the cameras)?

Apologies if I've missed this, but where is Emily Maitlis in the predictions of the new line-up?
Emily will probably stick in her current slot imo. Anyway, me and others have only been predicting the main presenters as opposed to Monday/Friday counterparts. She could possibly move to the mornings alongside Simon McCoy though?

Yesterday he anchored the whole of Focus on Africa, AND did the sports segment within as well. He's the third liner for FOA, it seems.
Kinda neat that Adnan Nawaz is presenting Sport on Focus on Africa... nostalgia's sake?

I guess Sophie Ikenye is still somewhere in Africa, after covering the Kenyan Elections... and Peter Okwoche maybe a bit too "enthusiastic" to present or so.
Kinda neat that Adnan Nawaz is presenting Sport on Focus on Africa... nostalgia's sake?

LOL. Perhaps.
Interesting to note that the entire FOA team (Komla aside) were coached and trained by Maxine Mahwhinney before the programme started airing a year or so ago.
Peter, like Aaron Heslehurst, befits the wider scope of Sports (or business) whilst not necessarily suited to straight news.

Sophie Long presented the final 8pm summary from TVC. (Tomorrow being Comic Relief, so no bully)

Ah, his Africa Cup of Nations report still makes me laugh...
