Rachel Schofield carrying on through 11am, Carole Walker replaces Jon Kay.

Don't think I've ever quite seen BBC News quite so short! Last night was very odd, no presenters at all between 6.30 and 7, no one for the 9.30 summary with Chris Eakin dashing between studios, Jon Kay doing an odd hour at 7pm.

Perhaps this is part of the "birth pains" whenever a channel is set for a MAJOR relaunch. But if ever Huw is already based in NBH, at least he showed-up for the '10' in dramatic fashion.

Carol Walker appears to be on her own now after 12.30.

Stephanie Flanders is being interviewed from the NBH newsroom at the moment - which looks and sounds far busier than it did before.

Interesting as well that Adam Parsons is on business today, but he voiced over a sport report for the 1.

Joana & Ben rehearsing together, at least judging from the pic posted in presentation thread.

I think it's safe to assume the new schedule will be...

As Chris Eakin no longer has his slot , I've been thinking maybe Chris has got the 2-5 shift with Sophie long? and the 6.30-9 will be done with Ben and Joanna , then at 9 Martine?

Nope, as I've posted is the most likely scenario. Chris Eakin will no longer be a main presenter, and we've heard one slot is going single-headed, and that Martine Croxall has a regular slot. We've also heard the other three will be remaining in their duos and the 9pm hour will be part of the late shift (I.e. Clive's shift).
