Do any BBC World viewers know where Mike Embley has disappeared to? It seems that many of the regulars have disappeared recently and have been replaced by reliefs, mainly Peter Dobbie, Alastair Yates, Geeta Guru-Murthy and Tim Willcox. I saw Nisha Pillai this afternoon for the first time in ages, but Mike seems to have completely disappeared. At one point, I didn't like him as a presenter because he was on so much (kind of like Willcox now) but since I haven't seen him in ages, I'd like to see him present again soon.

Mike presented Reporters last weekend, and Lucy Hockings also did the news on sunday evening, so these two are still around.
But what happened with Lindsay Brancher, Deborah Mackenzie and Mary Rhodes?

Mary Rhodes left, Deborah was on overnights just last week.

I don't really know who she is as I don't see overnights.

Lucy Hockings is back!? Great to hear that. Is she still presenting the early morning shift?
Deborah MacKenzie can be often heard on the World Service.

Lucy presented Sunday evening and today's 16:00-18:00 GMT shift. It was great to see her back - such a great accent.

Sue something or other is on the news channel at the moment with Jon Sopel. She's really good- hope we see more of her and has she been on before?

EDIT: Sue Thearle! Wink

So has Louise Minchin left the News Channel, or is she just off while she's doing Missing Live?

Yea, she's done a few shifts as main presenter before - yea, she is pretty good. I'd like to see her as regular cover with Jon until Louise returns.

Louise is also doing the new Sunday morning show with Colin Jackson - so that and Missing Live must take her out of the News presenting pool for a bit?

On the six, the BBC's South Asia correspondent was in a DTL as part of Brian Hanrahan package... from BBC Sheffield. Seems like a fairly random place for him to be.

It was the Lib Dem leader who was in Sheffield
