Maxine Mawhinney presenting a rare 11am shift on the News Channel this morning.
So it seels Kirsty Lang is no longer a World presenter. Someone wrote that she did her last shift last week, Philipa Thomas seems to be her replacement on WNT doing her 2 days.
With Nik Gowing now doing 4 days of late morning and Geeta only one day (used to do 2) I wonder where does this leave David Eades. Maybe a main cover for GMT,Impact & Global?

Hmm, she filed a report on the Helicopter Crash for the NC on Wednesday morning, so she is still around.
Hope David Eades is the main replacement along with Peter Dobbie.
Edit: just noticed that Rajan Datar's name is now included in the FastTrack opening graphics. Does this mean that Fiona Foster is no longer on it?
Also, Nik Gowing, Jon Sopel and Tanya Beckett will all be out on the road next week at Davos and USA (Sopel), so their studio slots will need to be filled by someone or other.

I heard the Kirsty Lang report on the news channel and it did stand out to me as I don't think I've ever heard her as a reporter before. Maybe she is just going to do a few general pieces for the news channel instead of world?
