So who is going to provide the comedy now on a Monday afternoon??

Emily Maitlis can provide the laughs alone, I suppose. Laughing

I can't imagine she'd be continuing on the shift come the reshuffle if Jon has left for good though! Hopefully this means we can get Simon McCoy/Carrie Gracie onto the prime shift finally!

I think you're getting a bit carried away - Emily doesn't present on the News Channel just because Jon Sopel is with her sometimes - in the same way that I don't go into work just because I like the people there. She often presents him without him anyway.

I can't see Simon and Carrie moving slot either - Ben Brown will probably move to the afternoon shift and the evening shift will probably go single headed, or get some more regular presenters alongside Joanna.

“Andrew Marr was taken ill yesterday and taken to hospital. The hospital confirmed he has had a stroke. His doctors say he is responding to treatment. His family have asked for their privacy to be respected as he recovers.

"We will continue to broadcast The Andrew Marr Show and Radio 4’s Start The Week with guest presenters in his absence. His colleagues and the whole BBC wish him a speedy recovery.”

That's horrible news, I hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. I've always had great admiration for him.

I think its because he is the leader of the opposition and in some respects a political heavyweight. Therefore, it is better that a political correspondent or editor steps in for a decent interview to take place as opposed to someone from an arts background, for example.

Just realised its 10 years since this...

So 10 years on....Ten remains unchanged with Huw and Fiona. George still with the Six which has gone single-head after a spell with Sophie then Natasha as George's co-presenters. Complete change on One after Anna retired and Darren left for Al Jazeera. Sophie moved from Six to become main presenter with a range of presenters from News Channel as deputy. Complete change for Breakfast too - having gone through a number of changes following Dermot's exit to Sky and Natasha's move to the Six and then Five News.

I'm sure there is a group picture of the line-up from 2003. Anyone got it?
