Rachel Schofield was on in the afternoon today. Unusual to see her outside of her normal Monday 0830-1100 slot.

Cool to see Rachel.

They've finally done the right thing and put Chris Eakin in primetime on a double header with the equally good Joanna Gosling. Perfect!

Do you think this will be permanent? Also, who's doing Chris' normal shift tonight?

Or, do you think it was a last minute decision to put Joanna and Chris together and he will still do his own shift tonight?

Also, anyone else agree that Huw and Chris have the best chemistry at the 10.25 handover to the NC, whereas Tim Willcox wants to 'get on with it'?

I don't like Rachel, she's annoying for no specific reason. Cool
Joanna on the other hand is top class and one of my BBC favorites.

Or is Chris covering Matthew A who's doing Crimewatch right now? (I know Stuart F has been doing the 7pm slot but Matthew was on it a few nights last week.)

Isn't the rota
8.30-11 Simon & Carrie
11-14 Matthew & Jane
14-17 Emily & Jon
18.30-21.30 Ben & Joanna? Although recently Ben & Matthew swapped but sometimes I have seen Ben stand-in for Jon.
Either way I hope Mr Yates gets Chris's 22.30-0.30 slot.

Is Emily now an official afternoon anchor?? This would be great, she's the one doing that shift most of time even though it's supposed to be Louise's shift.

I would have thought Emily is just standing in while Louise does Missing Live

Shouldn't go along too much with the rotas this week, the G20 meeting will mean several presenters will be 'on location' at Excel and other places of interest from Tomorrow onwards.

Martine Croxall doing Chris' shift tonight.

The one presenter that impresses me is Carrie Gracie. Throughout the Beijing Olympics, she offered first-class reporting and journalism, as well as commentary during the opening and closing ceremonies. A real credit to the BBC. It's a shame she isn't used more. She is excellent.
