BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

This would be BBC1 'wanting a familiar face' presenting the Network bulletin wouldn't it.

Still don't see bringing in someone else to do the 20mins BBC1 bulletin on a Saturday evening makes the bulletin anymore watchable than say, Martine Croxall (the current on duty NC presenter) presenting it. Is Tim Willcox really anymore familiar to the BBC1 audience than that of Martine Croxall? Both are relief on the News channel anyway and are pretty much seen on there and no where else (except Tim occasionally covering on BBC1 on Sundays).

Well, Jon Sopel pretty much the second anchor as he's doing a hefty chunk of the airtime from Olympic Park.

Ellie Crisell presenting this morning's news updates on BBC One. Will she appear on the One?

Simon's still on the News Channel in the studio, so I'd guess he'll be on the One and couldn't do the BBC 1 summary. That said, I'm guessing we'll see Crisell & co o the summaries while the Nationals come from the Olympics studio from next week.

Amelia Harris Lindsay doing a 9 hour sport shift on World from the Olympics site. Will anyone finally replace her?

You can never have enough presenters, this hour, Ben Brown in the Olympic Studio, Jon Sopel on the ground, at the park travelling all around, a man presenting from Wimbledon to welcome the torch, and Rachel Schofield in N6.
