Its totally wrong to discuss private details of these broadcast journalists. Speculating whether one is pregnant or not is no different (or less creepy) than rummaging through her bins to see what brand of panty liner she uses.

So get a grip.

Well, two wrongs certainly don't make a right, however I sat and listened to Kay Burley and some creepy jorno whose name I missed having a frankly disgusting specultive discussion about David Cameron's inner thoughts this afternoon on Sky News.

Laura Jones, formerly of Newsround and the now defunct "Your News".

She's nice. Smile I think it's her accent.

I find her, like Ellie Crissel, still slip into Newsround mode, and over simplify or almost patronise at times. However Laura does seem, much like Ellie to be improving over time.

BBC WORLD NEWS: It seems to me that Alastair Yates is at his sparkling best when he presents the early breakfast show. He has done this quite frequently over the last month or so, so I hope that it will become a permanent arrangement.

............the early breakfast show.........

My Dear David, a news programme - especially on the glorious BBC World News channel, is NEVER referred to as a "show". Mr. Yates will be cringing in his Grampian brogues to have heard you referring to his bulletin as a show! And, the reference to "early breakfast" is not quite right either. BBC World News, broadcasting around the World means that early breakfast in London may well be primetime evening in Sydney or even late evening news (the night before) in LA!!

LOL. I am only joking of course. But I do agree with you that Alastair is excellent and I enjoy seeing him on that particular bulletin you are referring to. He is rather good indeed. One of the best, in fact.

Who's the woman that reads the sport headlines (Laura something) - she also presenter Your News as well.

She has such a lovely voice/accent. Smile

her voice is horrendous. So screechy and patronising- she sounds like a little girl on a grown-up news channel.

Two nights of James Dagwill doing overnight news this last weekend have given me chronic stomach cramps and intermittent diarhoeia.

That's a co-incidence - reading your posts makes me want to be violently ill.

Why don't you cram it with walnuts.

Chris Eakin doing a sterling job on the Shooting in N Ireland tonight.

He's proving he is the best presenter on the channel IMHO.
