That'll be interesting - possibly her first weekend evening bulletins she's done since about 2004!

Great to see her on the weekend bulletins. It was about time she did. Must be a long day for he seeing as she's done Saturday Live on Radio 4 already today.

I don't supposed we can expect BBC News to refer their presenter who's caught up in the tax avoidance shenanigans, can we?

It's ok for Jimmy Carr to be named and shamed, but I suspect the newsreader won't be mentioned. Oh no. Her name is all over t'media at the moment. But in the interests of a balanced argument, it won't be alluded to.

Rant over. Not pres related, so moving on.............

........Jamie Robertson is wearing a nice tie today.

I'm surprised she was on duty tonight. Normally they go 'missing in action' !

Welcome to modern Britain - sensationalist and corrupt, sadly.

This is utter nonsense, most BBC presenters are paid through their service companies when they're freelancers.
Everyone from Graham Norton, to Fiona Bruce to Paxman do the same and this has been in the public domain for years! The same happens at ITV and Sky.

Are you really comparing taxation through a service company to a dodgy aggressive Jersey scheme, where you can pretty much avoid all taxation? Rolling Eyes
This story releating to Joanna was covered by the Telegraph over a year ago when her husband Craig Oliver became Cameron's spin doctor. It was only a story then and now because of that relationship and Cameron's comments about Carr.

I'm surprised that the anoraks Smile on Tv Forum didn't know that 95% of Tv presenters and full time newsreaders in this country are paid the same way.

Bloody hell! Really?? I had no idea. Better we talk about something else, then!

As I mentioned elsewhere, kudos to Sarah Montague for her handling of Paddy Ashdown on HardTalk this morning. Ashdown was being particularly difficult, smokescreening every question asked of him. Montague persisted wonderfully, even when Ashdown accused her of having "a very faulty memory", to which she was able to bounce back nicely.

What's all the Paxman furore on Twitter about? Who did he maul last night?

Oooooooooooh! Just watched it online. What a mauling. I get that she clearly wasn't prepared, but wasn't Paxman a bit downright rude at some points? I guess that's why we love him......

Oh that's a cracker, Jeremy Paxman at his best!
