And it looks like someone forgot to show up to Television Centre - Jane Hill has stayed on through to 2pm.

Gosh it must be so useful to know that someone *WAS* late for work and not that any one of a million other possibilities may have occurred such as shift swaps, making up hours, meetings, doctors appointments...

It wasn't meant to be taken as solid fact, I'm quite aware it could have been a multitude of things.

I do apologise. I'll keep this in mind for future reference.

Huw on the ten tonight? Has Fiona been killed by a pack of hungry wolves? Let's hope they haven't scratched the BARCO's!!!one11

Actually Pete, I've a feeling it'll be either Fiona, George, Sophie, Sian or Mishal on the Ten tonight, as Gavin was on the Five earlier instead of Huw!!

Fingers crossed for Sian. Won't be Sophie as she is in Northern Ireland. Might be George seeing as the others worked Sat-Tue

Seems to be Lesley Curwen, normally presenter of Business Daily on BBC World Service. She seems a bit wooden at the moment and is slouching a bit behind the desk, hopefully she'll be a bit more lively and sit up properly if she's to do some more business shifts!

Perhaps you should email her to let her know your dissatisfaction with her posture.

She often presents business on the Today Programme as well. I have always thought she was very good - not that I saw her appearance last night. When are business presenters disappearing from the news channel?

I'm simply pointing something out rather than being literally angry - so if you'd like to end the sarcastic comments, that would be lovely.

I think we should all stop being sarcastic with eachother, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Very Happy

It's many, many years since I've seen Lesley Curwen on TV. If I recall correctly, she used to do business and economics stories on Network News in the eighties????

And, five hundred pages of rotabubba!!

Indeed, happy 500th page to this thread! And, of course, I can only congratulate and thank one man on this auspicious occasion. A man who, without him, means this thread would have died and turned into a pumpkin a very long time ago.

Can anybody possibly guess who I am referring to? No clues.
