Presumably because Carole will complain she isn't getting any shifts again and accuse the BBC of being ageist for doing so.

I agree for both comments above!

I don't want to overindulge in the rota's thread today, but for the Radio Times fans out there, can someone tell me about who is on Breakfast for the next few days? I know already that Naga is on Monday. Maybe Sally tomorrow?

Louise mentioned she's OL tomorrow. Not sure if that's effectively as a reporter, or if she's presenting a considerable amount there.

There is also a 1 tomorrow, so could she be involved in that in some way?

Looks from Twitter that she is in London, so it's perfectly possible.

According to the RT it's Roger Johnson & Louise Minchin tomorrow, Bill & Naga on Monday, Bill & Susanna on Tuesday, Bill & Sally on Wednesday and then Charlie & Louise on Thursday and Friday.

And as LONDON said there's a full length News at One tomorrow, I'm guessing Maxine will present that like the Sunday edition of the One they did last minute a few months ago, with Louise on location.

Great bit of variation to look forward to next week then! Thanks!

Why can't they use Karin Giannone or Kasia Madera when the more senior NC presenters are away?

As nice as that would be, Karin seems to be kept busy on WN these days (e.g. covering on Impact regularly), and Kasia on overnights

Worth a mention: Kirsty Lang on The Hub tonight on BBC World. First time?

She suits this type of programme.

Looks a bit rabbit in headlights, but otherwise she's very good on this programme. She has a very clear, relaxed manner of delivery.

Also, it's the first time I've seen Arron Armstrong do the Sport from Salford. BBC WORLD, I shall turn to you for more info!

It's the first time I've seen him as well presenting from Salford. I really like him, actually. I believe he is freelance.

Of course, there may be a few rota gaps this fortnight, as Amelia Harris and Andrew Lindsay are off to get married! Wedding Friday. Hurrah.

Aah, I thought it was soon. Glad to hear that! And I definitely agree, Arron is great on the sport. His voice and presentation is clear and just sounds very suited to sports news!
