FAO the editors of BBC News Presenters. Martine Croxall and Adam Parsons were on at 8.30am Friday on the NC, along with Norman Smith at Westminster who did most of the presenting - not as you stated Jon Sopel and Matthew Amroliwala, who must have started later

That means Adam Parsons has done five consecuative early mornings and late evenings as he was on business just before 11pm again last night. (with Tim presenting).

I am also surprised that Jon Sopel was still going late last night, as he is fronting the coverage in Paris on Sunday so is going to be exhausted!

Jon Sopel is an excellent broadcaster, he really comes into his own when on location for political events as well as in the studio. He deserves much more credit!

It sounded like John Pienaar was in the same boat on 5 Live.

And back on from 4pm on the News Channel. Don't know how he and certain others.... do it!

Adam Parsons is a legend. He really deserves a regular slot of his own either on the News Channel or World. Unless he enjoys the flexibility of being a freelancer, and doing 16 hours a day up to 12 days in a row (which I think he does), dividing his time between business and news.

Adam Parson, Owen Thomas (now on Bloomberg) and Karin Giannone are my favorite. This morning (Latin Am. time, 1200GMT) she was at BBC World News.

Karin is on World News right at this minute.

On the subject (in some threads) of news presenters working very hard........Adam Parsons and Jon Sopel and Tim Willcox, to name but a specific few!

Here's another incredible one. Lyse Doucet was in London anchoring Impact a few days ago. Then flew to Momtreal to film and front the Canada Direct season, from where she was still tweeting yesterday.

And now today, a few moments ago, she is tweeting live and current from Amman, Jordan.

As someone who has to fly a lot for his job, I know how difficult it is. This lady is remarkable!

Kate Silverton on the BBC1 bulletins tonight.

Also, we've got a Naga and Jon combo on Breakfast tomorrow! Jaga (jagger) or Joga (jogger). What a beautiful language we have!

Good God. Let's hope C harlotte Hawkins and Martin Br unt don't ever start anchoring together. Never ever.

Some of you guys will be jailed for language.

I know I probably shouldn't ask - but what is this recent obsession with creating a ridiculous "omni" name for presenting duos?

They're news presenters not flipping Jedward.
