Annita McVeigh seems to be doing a Maxine, and running into a second shift on the news channel. Presume the intended presenter is missing!

Jane Hill has been off for a few weeks now and her last tweets suggest she is currently ill, no doubt why Julia and Fiona have covered the previous couple of weeks. I'm sure we all hope she gets better soon.

Joanna Gosling on the 11am shift with Matthew today. Very rare indeed! Meaning she's done 5 days this week, I believe.

Probably running a little short of female presenters, with both Jane and Carrie off ill and Louise recently having left.

Presumably there's going to be quite a bit of similcasting between World News and the News Channel over the next couple of days.

Yes Jon been very busy, I shouldn't complain as he is my favourite newsreader. I would have sent Matthew up to Oslo and Jon to Paris to lighten the load.


I do like their pairing, they were together on this shift last week. I suppose Tim won't be doing his late shift tonight.


Nice to see Joanna doing more of a variety of shifts. She always seems to do the evening shift but I enjoy watching her at other times during the day. With the lack of female presenters I would certainly give Luisa Baldini more shifts, I am quite fond of her.

Hmmm. Wonder how we can combine these two, Clive and Sue? Clue, maybe?

Karin Giannone is doing The Hub on World, and Lucy Hockings with Impact. So, there is still a chance that Tim will turn up on WNT at 7pm LON. He's been in for Zeinab most of this week already anyway.

If not, maybe Tim at 10:30pm on the NC?
