If I recall correctly, it's Gillian Ni Cheallaigh. She was a relief presenter on News 24 and World during that period.
By the way, that screen grab is some time between April 2002 and December 2003. You can tell because the two red pillars over her shoulders were only added in April 2002.
Good Lord, Rob. What a memory you have! I'd completely forgotten about her.
Haha, thanks James I have to confess that I only remember so much because the 1999-2004 period was my favourite BBC News era (well, maybe a close second to the virtual era). I couldn't tell you that much about 2004-present!
Amelia Harris was all out of sorts during the Sport Today at 21.45. cet. She had small laugh attacks while reading F1 story, kept looking down to her papers and then manically moving them around during the wide shot. Also during the opening wide shot there was a man sitting across her on the other side of the desk, I thought it would be a guest so I watched in order to see more shots of the set but he never appeared during the short bulletin. I wonder if this person was making her laugh.

Hmm her fiancee Andrew Lindsay is on the News Channel tonight and he also appears to be in a very good mood - the smiliest i've seen him since he started. Hope there's no hanky panky going on between the two tonight
They're getting married in a couple of weeks and then are going off to visit the Pope!

Just saw on the Iplayer that Matthew Amroliwala presented today's One. Surprised no-one mentioned this!
I was wondering why I saw 'You know who' with Fiona Armstrong on the 11am shift instead. No prizes for guessing who I'm referring to when I say 'You know who' !

Matthew did the One a little while ago on Friday 2nd March. I think he suits the One. He's been the "bank holiday presenter" for quite a while now. Hope to see more of him. (Although if this means we Tim more on the news channel then perhaps not!)

I don't think there's any reason to dislike Tim. I know he presents a lot more than other presenters do, but he's also one of the BBC's best. Not just at presenting, but also reporting. I like him, a consummate professional, and I'd sooner see him on screen than certain other newsreaders.
Naga Munchetty will be back on The World Today tomorrow morning, making it her sixth day on the trot. She did Breakfast Sat-Mon, then The World Today Tue-Thu. Saw her on Tuesday morning with Jamie Robertson whilst waiting for Breakfast from Salford to launch. Seems to have chemistry whoever she's on with, especially with Nicholas Owen (best Breakfast pairing ever). Yet another committed BBC professional.
