New sports presenter Andrew Lindsay will be on the Channel from after 2 today.

Looks like Jon Kay will continue to provide relief on BBC Breakfast in Salford. He tweeted that today is the last time he'll be presenting Breakfast from London.

Reading Mike Bushell's tweets it looks like he's the new weekday sports presenter, and Sally will be weekend presenter.

the weekdays as well from mid April...just seen the first BBC news channel sport desk from there..looked g8 hope ur well

But someone tweeted Sally:

Quote:
Congrats to @sallynugent who is Breakfast's new sports presenter replacing Chris Hollins.

And she replied 'Thankyou!!'. Who is to know?!

I think Sally is doing weekdays, if you read Mike's previous tweet it seems he is just referring to Breakfast Sport coming from Salford during the week from April, not that he is specifically presenting it.

Yep, you're right. Really good choice. I really like Sally - a friendly face, and also someone who can readily stand in for the main female presenter role on Breakfast as well. A very good appointment and a welcome change from Chris Hollins.

Another day of Juliette Foster on NC. Great!!

Worth remembering we don't know the 'new' presenters will follow the same presenting patterns as the current ones. For all we know Sally and Mike might be sharing weekdays and weekends.

It would be great to see Sally on weekday Breakfast. The best choice. She will also be providing cover for Susanna and Louise which is a fantastic decision as she suits sports presenting and news presenting. A real all-rounder.

That is also a possibility of course. I guess we will see quite soon.

Good to see Joanna Gosling on a day shift. Can't say I've seen her in a long time.

Anyone is an improvement on Chris Hollins!

She did one a couple of weeks back too - other than weekend bulletins and a shift on Boxing Day, don't think she's done anything other than the evening shift in the past 4/5 years!

Oops. Tanya Beckett's mobile phone has just rang during the live broadcast just now on BBC World. If not hers, the Brazilian Ambassador's, whom she is interviewing at the moment in N8. Nokia tune. LOL.

Chris is a great sports presenter and it's a shame he couldn't move to Salford. (Or it's a shame the Breakfast moved to Salford)

He's one of the best. He's funny, witty and is a good sports presenter too. (He's a good dancer as well)

Adam Parsons and Annita McVeigh are on the NC this evening. Surprisingly, a good pairing, and they work well together.

Nice (and interesting) to see that Joanna Gosling was on the afternoon shift again today. With Louise moving up to present weekend Breakfast from Salford, could Joanna move to afternoons permanently, leaving the evening shift single-headed?

Adam was on the NC this morning with the business news. Another long working day for him. Nothing unusual there of course!
