Why does he get such a bad rap for being willing to work? And I just love the way so many of you looked at him as a newcomer in 2011, and yes, I am being sarcastic in that statement. We here in the Westcountry were introduced to Gavin Grey when he was North Devon Correspondent and Cover Presenter for Westcountry in 1993. He went on to Central News South and the North Edition of Meridian Tonight, before becoming a freelance UK correspondent for international broadcasters, including Channel 9 Australia and Fox Business Network in the US.

When you say he's on, was he on at 13:30 or did he do the overnight?

He was on at 22:10

Is anyone in the studio at the moment? Since I tuned in at 2:30pm I've only seen Philippa Thomas(?) live on location.

Probably will be someone in the studio, but just decided to switch to 'outside courthouse' presentation as they did with the Amanda Knox verdict with Luisa Baldini. Phillipa Thomas has been covering the whole trial (for Steven Lawrence's killers) so probably knows more about the case than the duty NC presenters

Clive Myrie and Sophie Long were in the studio at 2, as has been said must have just been an editorial decision to stick with Philippa, who of course has much experience as a presenter and reporter as well as knowledge of the case.
