I must say I've been impressed by Matthew Amroliwala presenting from the lawn outside the Houses of Parliament this afternoon. He's been there for hours, but despite all the location changes, new results coming in, etc. he's presented it very well, and his interviews with the politicians and pundits have been top-notch.

Also Nadvip Dhariwal on with Jon this afternoon - looks like she might be a new regular relief presenter.

No David isn't leaving - he is Arts and Media.
Lizo is doing a job that Robert Nisbet used to do before going to Sky News

She needs to relax a bit more. She would also do a bit better when recapping the headlines by saying like nearly every other presenter does, a reminder of the headlines now (or similar), rather than launching into them full pelt, much neater and she wouldn't seem so wooden either.

Suprosed no-one mentioned Simon McCoy on the BBC News at One today - isn't that the first time he's done a proper national bulletin?(Excluding Breakfast/Weekends) Did he also do his news channel shift?
EDIT - Also quite disappointed Julian hasn't started doing the 2-5 on a Friday again, means that today, like every Friday we get Tim doing two shifts.

He was a reporter for BBC Three News (The Seven O'Clock News/The News Show) and presented a number of them, so he's certainly used to serious news reporting and presenting. (BBC Three News may have been aimed at a younger audience - but it had a pretty straight news agenda)

Strange seeing him present serious news - I can only think of him presenting the now defunct StoryFix.
