Who was on the NC on Wednesday?

Matthew Amroliwala and Sue Thearle at 12:00.

Sophie Long and Jon Sopel at 14:00.

Not sure if "standard" shift times were adhered to.

It was Ben Brown and Joanna Gosling doing the evening shift as normal, with Tim on late nights.

Maxine Mawhinney now making a rare Thursday appearance on the News Channel from 9am.

During the Christmas period does the News Channel pick up after Breakfast has finished? Or does it pick up from 8:30am?

And who was on before 12 on the NC yesterday?

Maxine was on her own this morning. Don't know who presented the 9am shift yesterday.

Do you have access to the News Channel, just out of interest. Because if you did, you'd be able to find out the answers to all of these questions yourself just by switching it on. Not being funny, just genuinely curious.

At the moment our television is being reinstated. It's sort of a bad time, because over these next few days I am editing the website that archives all the bulletins and shifts on BBC News. That is why I'm so inquisitive. I promise that in the New Year I will allocate my posts to other matters that do not concern the presenters and the shifts.

Could you still watch the News Channel as it's being broadcast using the link on the BBC News Website?

Yes, however, I've been away with family this last week, and I got up late this morning.

Nick Hope, anyone? He's presenting at the moment on BBC World, whilst wearing an impossibly tight silver grey suit. Hmmmm.

Cut nicely, just above the.........

........Sandy Galls.
