This is a plea to all BBC WORLD fans! Please vote in the News Presenter Of theYear thread.
It seems that fans of the oher stations are bulldozing their way onto the thread and BBC WORLD is lagging behind. If you are a true believer, VOTE. We need to support our station because it is the best.

CNN - too showy, loud and lacks substance
SKY - repetitive, boring
AL JAZEERA ENG - biased

BBC WORLD - BRILLIANT!

Come on, People - Fly The Flag!

A plea in the wrong thread? hmm

Just note a majority of the members here are from the UK and can not watch BBC World apart from abroad or if they watch a stream!

OK ,I did not realise that. Obviously we need more overseasor outside UK viewers to write in.

But the UK viewers are able to watch the BBC World newscasts from 01.00 gmt until 06.00 gmt on the simulcast system, are they not?

Who had to do the Christmas day shifts on the news channel then? I saw Stuart Flinders in the evening and Chris Hollins on Breakfast - who else was on?

I saw Maxine, Matthew and Sophie Long at various points when I flicked over - I guess the shifts went something like 9-1, 1-4, 4-7, 7-midnight??

Cheers, I'd imagine that's what the shifts went like. No Bill or Jane yesterday then, which is unusual for Xmas.

Just thought you'd like to know that I saw Chris Eakin in John Lewis in Liverpool today, with his wife. They were in the kitchenware section. I didn't talk to him (I would have done if there was more time).

He used to live in the area (I don't know whether he still does) and was a journalist for the Daily Post, a local newspaper.
