Best pairing on the channel on par with Simon and Carrie!

I woke up half-asleep and thought it was the new NWT studio in Salford on Andrew Marr. How wrong I was!

Talking of Salford and the Andrew Marr Show, will the news come from Salford when Breakfast moves up there?

Zeinab Badawi is away, so we've got Tim on GMT and World News Today yesterday and WNT again tonight.

I guess they could use the smaller set that will be used for Breakfast opt-outs on North West Today with the Sunday Breakfast presenter. I haven't heard anything, but that would make the most sense in terms of effective costing and staffing.

How so? That would require one or more persons to staff the smaller gallery and a contribution circuit from Salford to TC7. Getting a News Channel presenter to start early would be cheaper surely? I think we have a Marr show insider on the forum who might be to give us some hints, if it's even been thought about yet.

But the morning presenter will be already presenting on the news channel. Surely the best thing will just be for the Breakfast presenter to stay on as now but stay in the Breakfast studio to present it. I'm sure most people will still think there in London anyway

Would they? I thought the Breakfast presenter ducked out for fifteen minutes from Breakfast, which would still be broadcasting on the News Channel? What's the latest the Andrew Marr show airs?

And the point made was that you'd then have to pay to keep crew there in Salford to do the headlines, when they wouldn't otherwise stay on. Seems like it's going quite out of the way to broadcast a few minutes of headlines, compared to the current green-screen inside TC7 setup.

Edit: I've just realised, nothing I said makes sense. Apologies.

I wonder how the news will be done for Marr post the W1 move. AFAIK there is no cso position intended for studio B.

As I understand when Breakfast moves to Salford the news for the Andrew Marr show will continue to be presented by a London based presenter. Who or where that person comes from I don't know.

With regards to W1 isn't their flexibility that the presenter could be in one of the other studios perhaps smaller. Also adding a CSO position surely wouldn't be difficult if necessary. There is also know reason why it has to be CSO.

Who presented the 8:30am shift this morning on the NC?
