Media Guardian reports that Radio 4's You and Yours is moving to Salford. Julian Worricker is a presenter on the show, so I guess potentially it could impact on when he is availble for news channel work (assuming he stays with You and Yours)

But he would be around for the odd Breakfast maybe? He's done it before I think.

He's probably the best stand-in the news channel has in my view.

He's very professional and often a good interviewer, but isn't a big one for chemistry with other presenters - surely a must for morning TV. And I'm sure he can continue to travel to do these shifts; I'm sure someone mentioned Raechel Hodges was going to travel for the Saturday-Sunday night shift?

Indeed Rachel has just moved into a new residence up north I believe from what I hear on the Livesey show, but I think she'll be commuting back down to TVC continuing her News Channel and World shifts.

Interesting move, I imagine this will mean Worricker may end up returning to 5Live at some point too along with Breakfast?

Did Ben Brown present yesterday on 11am shift? Would be interesting if he did five days!

As anticipated following her surprise midweek appearance, Katya Adler is currently presenting BBC World news weekend shift.

Yes he did, with Sophie Long. The reason Ben Brown's done five days this week is because he swapped shifts with Matthew Amroliwala, who in turn did four days this week (in the evening).

It's been mentioned in the Breakfast thread already, but Tony Livesey is presenting on the Channel this morning. If you've not come across him before, he's the regular Sports Presenter on North West Tonight and hosts Radio 5 Lives 10pm-1am slot Monday-Thursday.

It looks like Kate Silverton has gone on maternity leave - she said on Twitter she was due for the BBC News at One on Monday but was considering bringing her last shift forward. Simon McCoy is doing the One today..

Not yet according to twitter - her last broadcast is tomorrow.

Correct - she said on air that she'll be off air for a while to have some news of her own - I'm sure many TVF members are gutted Wink

Agreed there, and under somewhat strained circumstances too.
