Martine Croxall's appearances on BBC World are quite rare these days, but always welcome!

They take the first hour week about - one week the male presenter will do and then the other female will do.
Just relating to a few posts ago, why does the female presenter not do the first hour of Breakfast on a Saturday? Doesn't this happen in a similar guise on Sunday?
Yes. Gavin Grey on BBC News overnights!!!

Martine Croxall with today's middle shift on BBC World again. Hope this is a permanent arrangement for weekends?

Why do they do this? Is it something to do with World or staffing costs, at a guess?
Riz Lateef doing summary on Andrew Marr - in early to do Sunday bulletins?

Jo Coburn and Andrew Neil are presenting today's Politics Show
HO
There was talk of Andrew Neil potentially taking over The Politics Show. Interesting he was partnered with Jo Coburn, his new permanent DP partner. If they were to take over (let's assume today was a test), I wonder where that leaves Jon.

In N6 for his weekday afternoon shifts on NC with Maitlis and Minchin?

Not wanting to get too far into rota-talk, but the BBC reaaaally is all over the place as far as their presenting rotas go. Presenters almost never seem to appear for a whole week/two weeks at best in their slots - I know it's summer recently so it's to be expected, but it's a problem outside of these times too.
Some slots are fine - Simon and Carrie in the mornings seems to be a regular thing, but the other shifts, particularly on weekends are all over the place. And on Newsnight, I fail to see how a weekday only programme can have four presenters (Gavin, Jeremy, Emily, Kirsty) and still require stand ins (Jon Sopel, Mishal Husain, Laura Keunnsburg in the past...)
I think perhaps they need to have a sort out - I know the rotas can't always work perfectly but at the moment it just stinks of inconsistency.

Nope - Riz seems to always do the Andrew Marr Show when the show is put back to 8.30am or later during the day.

I agree - just out of curiosity, when was the last time BBC News (including the News Channel, Breakfast, One, Six, Ten, Newsnight and the 8pm summary), just for one day, had all of its presenters on their official programme, and in their 'official' slots?
And it is a mess on the News Channel in terms of presenters at weekends, particularly when Maxine's absent.
