She presented it last week as well. Covering for Gavin Esler I guess!

For the first time this year.

I am all for giving people a chance, so I don't at all mind having her on BBC World. It's just the nature of the news these days (Libya in particular) that will demand someone with far more RN experience, should things develop further.

I agree definitely, but she has been promoted far too quickly, even for a weekend World job, she should have started domestically on the News Channel for far less viewers, reading the sport. It should have been far more gradual. Breaking news really demands experience like you say. I'd say that's one of the most important things in journalism.

Sonali did quite a lot of business shifts on the news channel, I think last year.

Does Joanna have a regular slot thesedays, as I've not seen much of her lately?

(Whether this has anything to do with the fact that her hubby works for 'Call Me Dave' thesedays, I don't know?)

I think she's still regular in the evening shift with Ben Brown.

So, what did we all think to Adam Parsons on Breakfast this morning, his first time presenting, and with Naga?

He was great. I think he should be kept on Breakfast permanently. Awesome presenter. Just what Breakfast needs.

Was this sarcasm? I can't think Adam Parsons will turn into a great presenter overnight!!

I was more impressed with Adam when he was on with Babita covering the breaking news in Tripoli, but he's still not a brilliant interviewer or newsreader. That said, he is improving.
