BBC News: Presenters & Rotas

Nik Gowing appears to be on another extended absence from The Hub on BBC World. Last night's programme was presented by Lyse Doucet in Tripoli and Lucy Hockings in London. However, on Tuesday night, a special edition of The Hub was presented by Peter Dobbie and Pascal Harkar (sp?). I think it was possibly her first ever stint in newsreading and, IMO, a rather strange choice for such a breaking story.

Anyone know who she is?

She's a World Service radio presenter.

Ah yes, I saw her earlier in the day; she was newsreading for Geeta Guru-Murthy on Impact as well. I wondered if it was her first stint, as I've never seen her before either. Not a bad newsreader, though.

Aaron Heslehurst's presentation really annoys me. Long pauses, strange intonation, shouty. At least Robert Peston's is funny! Not the worst. Sam Washington?!

Looks as though it's George on the Six tonight, and not Sian, as was speculated earlier in the week

She said she was on the news on thursday, so perhaps she's on the Ten?

I'm sure Joanna Gosling has been wearing the same horned shoulder jacket all week.. Just an observation.

And doesn't she look amazing...whatever she's wearing

Was nice to her in full shot standing up at the TOTH the other day on the News channel.

If they were going to start with her standing...surely it would have been better for her to stand at the podium?

Sian Williams on the One O'Clock News tomorrow, she says on Twitter. Nothing about the News at Ten so I assume it'll be Huw tonight.

This Friday in the year always seems to be different presenter-wise. Last year we had Jane on the One, and Kate on at 6 and 10. The year before Nick and Naga did breakfast and Emily was on the 6 and 10.

I'm sorry but why do we have to have Naga on Breakfast tomorrow and Sian is doing the one?! Put Sian back to breakfast!
