Looks like we're getting Kate Silverton all day today - she's on breakfast just now and according to her twitter she is presenting the six and ten tonight too.
Wow, for someone so heavily pregnant, that's a very long day.
That'll go to herr head doing the Ten. I seem to see her more now that she is pregnant than ever before. Hopefully she'll take extra long maternity leave. Better get ready for more facial expressions and head nodding then. She'll be going into overdrive tonight.
When you look at her crudentials, apart from presenting news bulletins, she really has done little else in terms of reporting. She had been promoted far too quickly, and not good enough to get a fixed position. Overrated or what??
This morning Kate - reading the autocue - says '..... now it's time... erm 7.13....' . I guess the autocue was prompting her to insert the time not say the word!
I don't mind Kate - I think the Ten is possibly a bit big for her though. She's done it before and it really didn't suit her, it needs a proper presenter like Huw, George, Sian, or possibly Sophie.
If there's one irritating presenter on BBC News, it's that business presenter Sam Washington. She's just dreadful. You say Kate Silverton shakes her head, you ought to see her!
I doubt Kate will be able to stand up at the beginning of the bulletin as well because of her heavy pregnancy. Perhaps two completed seated bulletins tonight then?

Surely she can stand up for a couple of minutes?
I suppose she'll be the one who decides that then! She might feel uncomfortable and/or it might not be the best of camera angles for her with bump.

Ah I see - I thought you meant she was incapable of standing We shall see anyway.

I'm glad someone else has picked up on this. I literally have to switch channels when she comes on; she's so uncomfortable to watch. She looks like a rabbit caught in the headlights, she sounds nervous and hesitant, she holds herself really stiff instead of relaxing and she has this annoying habit of turning her head to one side and looking at the camera out of the corner of her eyes. What's more, she's always fluffing her script and isn't particularly good at conducting interviews. For the life of me I can't understand why she's still presenting on the channel!

They seem to quite like her considering how regularly she is on air - they do have odd tastes in presenters sometimes. My only fear is that she will be the regular Business presenter on Breakfast now Simon Jack is leaving for Radio 4, considering that is where she started presenting!

And she's standing up! And the bump is hidden quite well with what she is wearing!
