Indeed she is - seems to be getting worse for her too. I wonder if she's going to make it through till 9:30?

In a way it reminds me of when Anna Ford lost her voice on the One O'Clock news a long while back - became very difficult for her, and difficult to watch!

I'm quite surprised Sue Thearle isn't flying solo at the moment, or Chris Eakin being brought in early.

I'm sure Sue will do the 9:30pm-10pm piece in the World News studio.

This is not so bad, I think she'll do it.

Returning slightly to previous discussions - I think the easy way to sort the rotas out would be to get Sophie and George to present a full news hour at 1.00 and 6.00 instead of having the hours annoyingly split! The back half hours are hardly much effort - read a few stories, headlines, hand to sport and business and that's about it.

Then they could have 8.30-1, 2-6 and 7-12. Newsday will need to move an hour earlier in October won't it, because Asia don't have Daylight Savings?
