Who is this god awful female presenter who is in an Essex school. Just speaking to a school head getting two key facts wrong. Heads aren't allowed to be in a union and are not allowed to strike.

Where has she come from, she does not listen to the answer to her question with a follow up. She just has a set of questions and says they regardless of what has just been said to her.

Get rid of her BBC!

Are you referring to the current female presenter on News 24? If so, it's Sophie Long. I didn't like her at first but have warmed to her now.

Has Tim Willcox presented at all this week? Maybe part of the revamp was giving him the boot?!

EDIT: Sorry, just realised you're referring to the reporter in Essex. She's on now and yes, she is pretty awful.

Sorry - just edited my post as you replied! Yes, the Essex reporter isn't great, is she?!

Yep, she is awful, and similarly got her facts wrong covering a court case a few weeks ago and ended up repeating herself, with Rachel Schofield having to give her heavy prompting from the studio. She's featured in this interview

Or not... Rolling Eyes

Still, nice to have a break from Tim! Hopefully they'll use him less now because Julian is back and they seem to be using a range of correspondents (e.g. Jon Kay)

I see Workaholicox turned up tonight to cover for Matthew (who was on crimewatch instead) covering for Ben Laughing

Has Alex Stagner(sp? entertainment presenter who did Storyfix a lot) left the BBC? Only I've just seen her interviewed on Sky News as a "Showbiz Writer"

Probably. Now 60 Seconds and E24 have been taking over by Tasmin Lucia Khan she couldn't have had much to do.

She's still around - I saw her on the Interactive loop the other day and I think she still occasionally presents Your News too...

Think Alex is freelance - and as others have said - is now no longer regularly doing the 60 Seconds and E24 gig.
