Interesting news . . . no Adnan Nawaz. Actually I fancy Matt Gooderick to replace Chris Hollins when Breakfast moves to Salford. Seems to be very 'up-and-coming', with the right image, polished presentation style and able to have decent banter with fellow presenters.

Matt seems good, and I was thinking about him replacing Chris on Breakfast just recently. He seems to be down-to-earth and has plenty of character and charisma needed for Breakfast. I still get the impression that Chris thinks he is too good for sport on Breakfast now; he is overly arrogant now, IMO. Either Matt or George Riley, who would obviously suit being 'up North' and has done Breakfast before.
I'll be staying up for Newsday today as well. It looks and sounds quite good.

There's another Irish guy we get here on World occasionally on the Sports. He would also be good on Breakfast. His name temporarily escapes me, but I do recall that he has a rather unusual spelling to an otherwise common name.
Edit: he is Arron Armstrong, I think. Could that be right?

Carrie Gracie and Martine Croxall presenting alongside each other this morning, looking strikingly similar - both blonde hair, and both wearing purple!

And now Sophie Long and Carrie Gracie. When was the last time there was two female double headers back to back?
