Johnathan Leggard presenting the sports news! That's one hell of a step backwards from being an F1 commentator!

Former F1 commentator, and I suspect it has something to do with his work at BBC Radio. A lot of the sports presenters seem to come from Radio (especially Five Live) these days.

Sorry I forgot to put former commentator. I was just surprised, he was probably almost the last person I'd have put money on presenting the sports updates.

Either Adam Parsons has gotten better at newsreading since Saturday, or he's grown on me - I actually think he's a good fill in presenter. Good chemistry with other presenters and has a decent tone of voice.

Fiona on the Ten as normal.

That's quite a rapid move to a daytime appearance - she's only done 2 overnight shifts previously!

She wasn't bad to be fair. Although unusually she appeared at 6:30pm and finished at 9:30pm - which is normal, but that presenter normally sits in the main presenters seat so the second presenter can leave to N8 without issues. Once Tim turned up though, he moved into the main presenters seat and Rachael became secondary presenter. I didn't see what happened for this to work though..

Saying that, presenters like Fiona Armstrong and Julia Somerville almost always take the second presenter seat - even if a less senior presenter is with them, such as Adam Parsons with Fiona this morning. Perhaps some feel more comfortable if they don't take the lead of the channel.

I'd assume she's replaced Kasia Madera/ Juliet Dunlop as occasional overnight and daytime relief. Is she still appearing on Five Live and/or Sports News? So far she's not the most expressive presenter in her delivery, perhaps a little robotic and sharing absolutely no chemistry with her co-presenter, weather/sport/business presenter or correspondents, but isn't bad. I'm sure like those before her, she'll improve over time.

I thought I was imagining things when I saw Tim eyeing her up a couple of times! But yes you're right, she is very pleasant.

Adam Parsons presenting again this afternoon (4-7). I take it he's now an official relief presenter again?

Tim Willcox doing the evening news - not often he does national bulletins other than the weekend lunchtimes when the NC presenter does them.
