Correct. My mistake! I'm getting mixed up with all the different presenters. All the same it is unusual to see Sue Thearle doing the sport - she quit that three years ago when she left Breakfast, supposedly.
She only quit presenting the sport (on Breakfast) three years ago, but does still occasionally present the sport on the NC, presumabely when they're short staffed. I think her main job these days is just as a relief presenter on BBC News.
Can anyone tell me who presented 11-2pm on News Channel today? Thanks
Sophie Long and Ben Brown. Emily was at the palace and so was George Alagiah.
Wonder why Emily and George were both there?
I think the BBC News Channel maybe got BBC World news at some point so that coverage of the press conference could continue through N8 and so that N6 could broadcast on BBC1 with the News at 1...correct me if i am wrong anyone! I think George would have been doing GMT.
Although it should be pointed out that it wasn't really noticeable apart from the addition of the local time bug, as it was just the Obama press conference throughout.

Jon Sopel on from 1.30. Unusual, wonder what's happened to Ben Brown, who was on from 11-1? Has he been sent to The Hague or somewhere because of the news that's broken?
Watching the tennis now, but Brown was under stress, making a few errors, during the Mladic arrest breaking period. Maybe moved away from front desk as a result.
Long time no see - Adam Parsons on the news channel just now presenting with Martine.
Good to see him, but I thought he'd left the BBC a couple of years ago to become the 'Director of Communications and Public Affairs at the British Olympic Association'? Short staffed, maybe?
