Clive Myrie presenting solo tonight? Unusual for a Wednesday evening
Joanna Gosling hardly ever seems to be on these days - AFAIK, she's only done Monday evenings over the last couple of weeks

It would have to be very late if she were just late... Couple of weeks ago I saw some document with Huw Edwards and he was on a briefing some eight hours before on air.
But it's terrible anyway, I nearly had favourite presenters on the same shift.
Clive Myrie presenting alone on the NC tonight. I wonder how that'll work when they need to vacate to N8, or maybe the second presenter is late?

Am watching RTE online, but would expect that the BBC NC is concentrating similarly on the events in Dublin, so single handed presentation in London would in the circumstances seem appropriate.

This wouldn't have anything to do with her hubby now being a Tory spin doctor, would it?
Could it potentially affect her job in the future, depending on what hubby 'does' for 'Call Me Dave'?

Honestly, I doubt it. There are couples who each work for rival broadcasters and rival political parties, and I see no reason the same rules used there can't apply here. I think if Joanna Gosling came out and said 'hey, I'm a conservative and I endorse my husband's decisions' that would be different. I can also imagine Joanna being pulled from schedules should a story about her husband or No 10 communications came up - in the same way Julia Bradbury was barred from presenting about flights and airlines on Watchdog towards the end.

Every before he got that post, it was rare for her to do a full week!

I doubt it. Not much different to Adam Boulton's wife working for Tony Blair is it?
