Worzel, I remember a day when all the news presenters on all the channels were wearing black. Did I ever tell you about it......................................................

Rebecca Pike back on the news channel tonight. I really think she's good and hope she does get more shifts.

Partner to me, when I was in the shower this morning: "Oh, look, baby. Britney from Glee is reading the BBC News today."

And, it was indeed a long-haired blond woman, who did in fact have a passing resemblence to Britney. Who was she, anyone know?

Overnight in the UK, but it's morning here in the Middle East where I live. (3 hours ahead of London time.) The bulletin I was referring to was at 0700am UK time.

Yeah I also live more to the east (+1h), but I am wondering she was still on at 7am London time? I turned it off about 1am.

According to other journalists on the flight, Huw Edwards is traveling to Dublin to cover the Queen's visit.

Jarda, I beg your pardon. My mistake. It was 7am Dubai time, which is 4am London. Sorry.

Alexis Green is covering SET forecasts from Southampton today. Is this the future for SET weather since Kaye's left with once in a blue moon locally produced forecasts with the rest coming from Southampton or London?

After an absence of around five weeks, expecting to see Nik Gowing back on BBC World tonight for The Hub. However, it's Peter Dobbie again, presenting on BBC World for the 30th consecutive day in a row without a break, including weekends!

Is Matt Gooderick the new Breakfast sport presenter? He tweeted @BBCNorth "see you in 7 months".
I'm sure he'd do well but tbh I don't want him to go all Chris Hollins on us!!! Stay on the NC!!! Although, I think most of BBC Sport's going up there anyway?

If most of the sports department are moving to Salford, I wouldn't assume he's replacing Chris Hollins. Based on recent patterns on the news channel (especially with a few five live presenters appearing) it wouldn't surprise me at all if news channel sport moved up there too.
