Nice to see Francis Collings back today with the sport.

Yeah, he's been gone for ages. Sean Fletcher did a disappearing act as well at the start of this year but he seems to be back on again.

Francis and Sean have appeared on World quite extensively in recent months. Francis, in fact, has been on Sports duty for the most of this current week.

Kate Silverton is 4 months pregnant... she announced today on Twitter. Guess Louise will cover News at One! Congrats to her!!!

I doubt she's not likely to be involved with Breakfast next year then.

There not moving till March which should be around when she returns from maternity leave (assuming she takes the standard six months)

Has Kate 'changed her lifestyle' recently in any way, apart from getting married?

The reason I ask is Kerplunk left Breakfast then later the Beeb to join Channel Five, getting married along the way.

Of course Kerplunk got pregnant not long after.

Yeah she's unfortunately gone off the rails, sleeping with unsuitable men and out binge drinking every night.

BBC World News' Matthew Price has won the Journalist of the Year award for his work reporting the recent calamity in Haiti. Good reporter, actually.

I think I saw somewhere (Daily Mail, twitter maybe...) that she wasn't expecting to get preggers? There's stuff on her twitter about IVF & fertility treatments, but I don't want to speculate as that's a very personal issue and doesn't belong here.

I just found it strange she's suddenly got pregnant after various quotes saying she's going to struggle having kids!

(Mind you, after recent events elsewhere, lets hope all goes well for her.)
